Terms of Use
Last updated 27 October 2026
The short version.
- Chalkie is a free private beta. It may change, pause or have rough edges.
- Chalkie is an AI and can be wrong. Check important things with your teacher or textbook.
- Your notes and questions stay yours. Please use Chalkie to learn, not to cause harm.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Kush Agarwal, an individual based in India, who operates Chalkie at chalkie.in ("Chalkie", "we"). By using Chalkie you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to them for you.
The beta
Chalkie is in private beta. Access is by invitation, through an access code that is personal to you: please do not share it publicly. During the beta Chalkie is free. Features may change or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. If we later introduce paid plans, we will tell you clearly beforehand, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it.
AI can be wrong
Chalkie's lessons, diagrams, pictures and quiz questions are produced by AI models and can contain mistakes. Chalkie is a learning aid, not a replacement for your teachers, textbooks or professional advice. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
Your content
You keep ownership of the questions you ask and the material you add. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Chalkie for you: to teach you, keep your notebooks, and improve how Chalkie works. Only add material you have the right to use. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Fair use
Please don't:
- use Chalkie to create harmful, hateful, sexual or illegal content, or to harass anyone;
- try to break, overload, scrape or get around Chalkie's security, rate limits or access codes;
- use automated tools to send requests, or resell access to Chalkie;
- upload anything that contains malware or that you are not allowed to share.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the service or other students at risk.
Pictures and sources
Pictures shown in lessons come from sources such as Wikimedia Commons and the web, and are credited on the board. They belong to their owners. If you believe something shown infringes your rights, write to founder@chalkie.in and we will look at it promptly.
Ending
You can stop using Chalkie and delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may end the beta or close the service. If we do, we will try to give you notice so you can save anything you need.
No guarantees, and limits
Chalkie is provided "as is" during the beta, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (during the free beta, nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the courts of India.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will flag significant changes on the site. Questions: founder@chalkie.in.
